Cowboy Plumbing is a family-owned plumbing company based in Mesa, Arizona, founded and led by Alonzo Hidalgo. Alonzo brings years of hands-on plumbing expertise to every project — from straightforward repairs to complex slab leak restorations and whole-home re-pipes. He built this company on a premise that is simple but not always common in the trades: that customers deserve to be treated honestly, informed clearly, and served with genuine professionalism.

Alonzo’s approach goes beyond fixing the immediate problem. Why Cowboy Plumbing Exists

Cowboy Plumbing was founded in Mesa with a clear purpose: to provide the kind of plumbing service that customers in this community genuinely deserve — and that wasn’t always easy to find. Plumbing is an industry where trust matters enormously, and where the gap between a trustworthy company and an untrustworthy one can cost a homeowner hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Alonzo Hidalgo launched Cowboy Plumbing to close that gap. Drawing on years of hands-on industry experience, he set out to build a plumbing company that customers could rely on for honest assessments, fair pricing, and workmanship that stands behind itself. The name reflects that operating philosophy: in the trades, your reputation is built on your word — and we take that as seriously as any commitment can be taken.

I first hired Alonzo after buying a water softener from Home Depot. He was the first to respond with a quote, and his fast communication and fair pricing made the decision easy. The installation was clean, professional, and done right. About a year later, I bought a new bidet from Costco and already knew the existing toilet had some issues. I wanted someone I could trust, so I called Alonzo again. He and his team repaired the toilet flange, installed the bidet perfectly, and even gave me a quick tutorial on all the features. He’s also helped me with repairs at my rental property, including replacing a leaking shower faucet. Same great experience — quick response, quality work, and fair pricing. Most recently, my water softener had an issue (not related to his original work). Once again, Alonzo responded quickly and had it running again in no time.
